Small Artisan Producer of the Year 2015

September was a fantastic month for everyone here at Savour and culminated in us being crowned Small Artisan Producer of the Year by the Guild of Fine Foods at their annual Great Taste Awards.

Official Cropped

Held at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, we received our ‘Golden Fork’ in front of 300 guests from the world of Fine Foods. Sponsored by Selfridges, the Small Artisan Producer award is presented each year to a producer who is at an early stage of their business, or has two or less employees, and was created by the Guild of Fine Food to encourage new artisans.

It was our Sparkling Beer Brut that caught the attention of the judges at this year’s award with it being “incredibly distinctive with bags of complexity”. No content with our Sparkling Beer being awarded 3-gold stars and being placed in the Top 50 products, our Blonde and Dubbel also won 1-gold star each.

So, what does it all mean? Firstly, it puts a smile on my face which is great but it also gives us a huge confidence boost to push forward and continue to create outstanding British Saison beers. More importantly, it puts Savour firmly on the map as a producer of fantastic British beer. Being judged by some of the best food and drinks critics in the country, retails and consumers can rest assured that they are buy and serving the best. We have always known our beers are fantastic but it’s great having the support and recognition from one of the most prestigious fine foods competitions in the world.

Don’t take our word for it that our beers taste great!
